“Hi, I’m Daniel.

I was born without arms.

But God is glorified in my difference and has given me a thriving life.”

God has given me the opportunity and call to speak to more than 200,000 people every year – sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ as well as what I have learned being born visibly different. God has shaped my perspective to pursue a full life because I am defined by Him, and His grace rather than seeing myself as the sum of two empty sleeves or finding my value in the eyes of the critical opinions of the world.

 It is my joy to encourage others, and provide them with the hope of Christ. My circumstances are unchanging, as are many of yours. And if God has brought me to a place of contentment and joy in this very visible difference to the watching world – which affects every day in public or private – then He is most able to do the same for anyone else. This is a message that I have been able to take to churches, public schools, fundraisers, Christian schools, corporate events, colleges, seminaries, conferences and professional sports teams. 

At home, I reside in Raleigh, North Carolina with my wife of 17 years, Heather. We have two children – our son, Teague and our daughter, Elliott Hayes. We love Friday night pizza and movie nights together, traveling, being outdoors, football and the beach.
